As the 2025 autumn semester wraps up, the premiere for the new issue of Scarlette Magazine is just around the corner.
This issue is centered around the theme of Duality; two contrasting concepts being brought together. Many different ideas were constructed to bring this new issue to life, and from medieval princesses to fallen angels, excitement is building for this upcoming release.
Taking place this Sunday, Dec. 7th, from 4-6 p.m. at the Gateway Film Center, is the official launch party for the newest issue of the magazine.
The theme for this issue’s launch party is a masquerade ball concept. Each launch party is set to resemble aspects of the new magazine issue, and a masquerade-centered party perfectly reflects Duality — people may express themselves as one thing on the surface, but underneath the mask lies their true identity.
A masquerade-themed party calls for semi-formal attire. Masquerade ball attire is generally achieved with fancy, elegant outfits and, of course, a mask — masks that will be provided for guests.
Feel free to take creative freedom with your outfit for the party. Accessories such as fun jewelry, gloves or shawls can enhance your look, and whether you wear a dress or a suit, everyone will have the opportunity to veil themselves in mystery for the night.
The masquerade-themed launch party is just the start of the concept behind Duality. Seven different photoshoots were executed to create this semester's issue. Models, photographers, shoot leads/assistants, writers, graphic designers, videographers, stylists, our marketing team and hair/makeup artists all put in extensive work to make this magazine exceptional.
The magazine will be revealed from 4:30 to 5 p.m. Different giveaway opportunities will take place for guests, the prizes including BAGGU bags, Jellycats and more. The event will wrap up around 6 p.m., so make sure to arrive on time to see the result of Scarlette’s hard work. See you behind the mask.
