The LGBTQ+ community has had a tremendous impact on modern fashion with many industry members, past and present, that identify as LGBTQ+ working within the industry today. Many of which have become fashion icons, such as Freddie Mercury, David Bowie, Alexander McQueen and Laverne Cox.
The LGBTQ+ community also has a rich history within the fashion designer community, with designers like Marc Jacobs, Pierre Cardin, Michael Kors, Giorgio Armani and many more leaving their mark in the world of fashion.
