What better way to ring in the New Year and new spring semester at The Ohio State University than a red carpet review?

The 83rd annual Golden Globe Awards were held Sunday, Jan. 11. Through the years, this ceremony has celebrated achievements in film and American television, honoring the bright actors and actresses featured in the biggest movies and shows each year.

This year, these movies and shows included Chloé Zhao’s “Hamnet,” Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After Another” and Josh Safdie’s “Marty Supreme,” with stars like Timothee Chalamet, Teyana Taylor and Rose Byrn taking home major awards.

Such an event wouldn’t be complete, however, without a red carpet. As celebs took to the stage in their best designer wear, we saw sleek, black dresses, stunning silhouettes and a few delicate pops of old Hollywood glamour.

Most popular were velvet, textured fabric, sheer, draping pieces and a surprising number of updos, but the carpet still delivered a myriad of unique and lovely looks.

Below are Scarlette Magazine's picks for the most memorable, magnificent and mystifying looks of the 2026 Golden Globes.
