The Grammys, the most important night for the music industry, celebrated its 66th anniversary Sunday night at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. This highly anticipated event featured the music industry’s biggest stars, great musical performances and iconic red-carpet moments.

Multiple musicians, including the members of boygenius and Laufey, were awarded Grammys at Sunday night’s premiere ceremony, continuing the excitement of red carpet glamor and the announcement of best album. SZA led with nine nominations, competing with Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Janelle Monáe, boygenius, Jon Batiste, Lana Del Rey and others for album and record of the year. Taylor Swift took home the win for Album of the Year for “Midnights” and Miley Cyrus won Record of the Year for her hit single, “Flowers.”

Dua Lipa started the night off strong, sporting a chainmail custom Courrèges gown topped with a Tiffany & Co. kissing fish necklace. Lipa, an Albanian singer and songwriter, was nominated for two awards, both due to her song “Dance The Night” which was made for Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” movie.

Another jaw-dropping look was Miley Cyrus, winner of Best Pop Performance for her song “Flowers,” wearing Maison Margiela custom-made by John Galliano. This scandalous yet stunning couture look is completed with safety pins and a tossed-back hairstyle. This Cleopatra-inspired outfit is sure to be one of the most talked about looks for Grammys to come.

Another stunning look was Caroline Polachek, nominee for Best Engineered Album for her album, “Desire, I Want to Turn Into You.”

This truly unique and creative look in vintage Olivier Theyskens is black mohair with a blood vessel vein detail, making Polacheck stand out compared to other stars who wore long black dresses on the red carpet.

Doja Cat, an American rapper and singer, bared all by appearing in a barely there dress, deputing multiple new tattoos. One of the tattoos is designer Dilara Findikoglu’s name who designed this sheer, corset number. It is styled with librarian Prada glasses and numerous layered rings and necklaces.

Doja, always fearless, exposes her areolas with this dress showing a new and daunting era for the red carpet. Nominated for two Grammys, Best Rap Song ("Attention"), and Best Pop Solo Performance ("Paint the Town Red") Doja is not afraid of anything.

Fan-favorite duo Swift and Del Rey were seen walking the red carpet together making for a very memorable night. Del Rey was seen in an elegant black dress with matching bow appliques on her gloves, shoes and hair. She contrasted Swift perfectly who wore a Schiaparelli Couture white corset dress with long black gloves and a layered necklace. Swift and Del Rey knew this was going to be a monumental night for them and they dressed for the occasion.

Swift won Album of the Year for “Midnights” and brought Del Rey on stage with her to accept the award, poking fun at her for hiding behind the other “Midnights” collaborators and praised her for being a “legacy artist” and a “legend in her prime right now.”

Janelle Monáe was nominated for album of the year for her album,  “The Age of Pleasure,” and wore a custom Giorgio Armani Prive. Monáe always kills the red carpet and this floor-length floral gown was no exception.

Six-time nominee Rodrigo arrived in a vintage Versace sequined dress that captured the essence of old Hollywood glamour. This floor-length white dress with red sequins paired beautifully with Rodrigo’s red lip and styling choices making this one of the chicest looks on the red carpet. Rodrigo later changed into a satin red dress as she performed her song “Vampire.” This transformation from white to red perhaps signifies her journey through heartbreak.

Billie Eilish, whose Barbie track, “What Was I Made For?” earned her and her brother Finneas a Grammy win at Sunday’s show. The Barbie cast has continued to serve audiences amazing Barbie-inspired looks all year and Eilish did not disappoint, performing her hit single dressed in a look that mimicked the 1965 Poodle Parade Barbie.

boygenius, made up of Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker, won the Grammy for Best Rock Song for their song “Not Strong Enough,” as well as Best Indie Album for “The Record.” The trio was seen wearing matching white Thom Brown suits paired with black Oxfords and pink carnations, a nod to their song “We’re In Love,” on the Grammys red carpet. In the song Dacus sings, “I’ll be the boy with the pink carnation pinned to my lapel,” further showing the thought they put into this intricate detail of their outfits.

Though all the artists had spectacular looks, these outfits were some of the most memorable looks from the 66th Grammys. As the night continued, it was certain that these looks, Grammy winners and nominees would be woven into the rich history of the Grammys. Behind these looks are the artistry and personal style that will continue to influence creators for years to come.
